Cibes Lift Norway enters agreement to acquire lift company Heisplan

Cibes Lift Norway enters an agreement to acquire Heisplan to strengthen their presence on the Norwegian market and create new business opportunities in lift modernisation, installation and maintenance.

Headquartered in Ålesund, Heisplan has offices in Oslo and Trondheim and delivers products and services nationwide. Specialised in lift modernisation, installation and maintenance, Heisplan also offers around the clock lift alarm services and a wide range of lift solutions.

“Heisplan is a strategically important acquisition, which opens new and exciting business opportunities for us and strengthens our position on the Norwegian market. We are really looking forward to developing our business in Norway together with Heisplan”, says Per Lidström, CEO of Cibes Lift Group.

Heisplan was founded in 2008 and the company has grown ever since, building a large customer base across Norway. At present, the company has approximately 1300 maintenance contracts in their portfolio and offers a complete range of lift products; from vertical platform lifts and conventional passenger lifts to goods lifts, escalators and offshore lifts.

Cibes Lift Norway will acquire full ownership of Heisplan, but the company will retain its company name and brand and continue to be run as an independent company. Heisplan employs around 30 people and the entire staff as well as the previous owners, Jan Ove Skutvik, Tore Nakken and Roy Hellum, will remain in the company.

“This acquisition is an important step to strengthen our expertise in lift modernisation and maintenance throughout Scandinavia. Heisplan will work together with Cibes Lift Norway and Cibes owned companies in the other Scandinavian countries to increase lift sales and gain synergy effects across all business segments”, Merijn Aldewereld, VP Sales Central Europe & UK, concludes.

The acquisition of Heisplan is planned to be completed during the second quarter of 2021.
